Health Catalyst partnered with auticon to fill key roles on its technology teams with autistic talent. They initially hired a skilled data analyst from auticon to participate in the deployment of their claims data model solution as an Implementation Engineer. This role involves data analysis, validation, and verification, as well as management of client projects. Following the success of this placement, Health Catalyst engaged Platform Engineers from auticon to assist in configuring and maintaining the Health Catalyst Data Operating System (DOS™), a data-first, analytics, and application platform.
Health Catalyst was committed to fully integrating the auticon technologists into its team and providing the needed support for them to thrive. They started by pairing each person with a colleague to shadow, and then gradually increased their responsibilities as they became more comfortable. All of the technologists have received excellent feedback, with their supervisors describing them as hard-working, dependable, solid, and a delight to work with. In addition, the technologists have all shared positive feedback about their experiences working on the Health Catalyst team.

As a result of these successful placements, our partnership continues to grow, with more Platform Engineers joining the Health Catalyst team. At the same time, Health Catalyst has expanded its company-wide commitment to neurodiversity by starting a neurodiversity affinity group. Health Catalyst also hosted an auticon presentation on autism and neurodiversity in the workplace with more than 100 employees in attendance.
