Working Plan

Health Catalyst partnered with auticon to fill key roles on its technology teams with autistic talent. They hired a skilled data analyst from auticon to participate in the deployment of their claims data model solution as an Implementation Engineer. This role involves data analysis, validation, and verification, as well as management of client projects. Following the success of this placement, Health Catalyst engaged two Platform Engineers from auticon to assist in configuring and maintaining the Health Catalyst Data Operating System (DOS™), a data-first, analytics, and application platform.

Health Catalyst was committed to fully integrating the auticon technologists into its team and providing the needed support for them to thrive. They started by pairing each person with a colleague to shadow, and then gradually increased their responsibilities as they became more comfortable. All three technologists have received excellent feedback, with their supervisors describing them as hard-working, dependable, solid, and a delight to work with. In addition, the technologists have all shared positive feedback about their experiences working on the Health Catalyst team.

Client’s Feedback

“I appreciate how the auticon consultants get a lot of support from their job coach and that the job coach seeks feedback from us to make sure our needs are being met. I also appreciate the high level of engagement of the auticon team and that we get a specific briefing on each new teammate that we choose to hire. Our latest hire is already a solid member of the team and on a great trajectory. The last three months with him gave me a lot of confidence when it came time to hire more contractors. auticon now seems like an easy decision for our team.”

-John Christensen, Senior Technical Director, Health Catalyst

“auticon has become a valued partner to Health Catalyst, not only because they have provided us with skilled talent that brings energy and a desire for continuous learning, but their support team and neurodiversity training has had a positive impact on the assigned teams and our entire organization. I highly recommend working with auticon to benefit specific departments and the organization as whole.”

-Lisa Yelvington, Senior Director, Global Delivery Operations, Health Catalyst

As a result of these successful placements, our partnership continues to grow, with two more Platform Engineers joining the Health Catalyst team. At the same time, Health Catalyst has expanded its company-wide commitment to neurodiversity by starting a neurodiversity affinity group. Health Catalyst also hosted an auticon presentation on autism and neurodiversity in the workplace with more than 100 employees in attendance.
