MSD, one of the top 5 global Healthcare companies, implemented a new CRM system. A key module, the Event Management System, needed immediate support to reduce the existing backlog of events and to ensure a compliant implementation.
MSD organises a large number of events with external partners or employees. The organisation and documentation are subject to strict compliance requirements. There are defined rules regarding type and number of participants, premises, equipment or speakers. For each of the 10 event types, there are exceptions and special rules. When changing to a new CRM, MSD introduced an event management system that required the definition of new processes to ensure effective and consistent compliance management.
MSD commissioned auticon as an external service provider. An auticon IT specialist experienced in compliance issues for the project supported MSD, taking care of the complex events, while another IT specialist hired via a temporary employment agency handled the standard cases.
After familiarising himself with the MSD compliance basics, the auticon employee created test plans and instructions for optimised work. He analysed the documented data, compared it with the specifications and thus developed a new process of verification. His understanding of compliance specifications, the need for clear structures and questions that can only be answered with “right” or “wrong” flowed directly into the process development.
