auticon UK won two prestigious UK Social Enterprise Awards, which recognise businesses that are transforming communities and tackling climate change.

We proudly took away awards for both categories we were nominated in, UK Social Enterprise of the Year and Social Enterprise Building Diversity, Inclusion, Equity & Justice Award, at a prestigious awards ceremony held at the iconic Roundhouse in London on Thursday 8th December.

Social Enterprise UK is the largest network of certified social enterprises in the UK and a global authority on social enterprise. The annual awards commend social enterprises that are demonstrating social impact in the field they work. For us, it was a wonderful opportunity to get to know some other social enterprises and the work they do whilst enjoying entertainment from Alex Horne and his band The Horne Section as well as from award-winning comedian Shazia Mirza and performers from social enterprise, Black Sheep Collective.

Commenting on the awards Steve Hill, Commercial Director, said:

“We are absolutely thrilled to be recognised for our work, employing adults on the autism spectrum for lifelong careers in technology and acting as an advocate for neurodiversity in the workplace. It is no secret that the more diverse a team is, the more successful and productive it is likely to be. By committing to optimising inclusivity, employers stand to maximise their access to the best talent in a rich but otherwise untapped pool of neurodiverse people. It is a real honour to have received these awards and we hope it will help set a benchmark of how other organisations can follow suit to help make the working world a more inclusive place, not just for neurodivergent talent, but for everyone.”
