Introducing this year’s Role Model of the Year nominees

What does it take to be a true role model in today’s workplace?
The courage to think differently. Curiosity about people’s differences. And the willingness to turn values into action.

In the Role Model of the Year category, we recognize leaders and change-makers who don’t just talk about inclusion, but live it. Individuals who, through their commitment, leadership, and way of collaborating, create real impact for people, teams, and organizations.

Now it’s time to present this year’s nominees—and each of them demonstrates, in their own way, how neuroinclusion can become a strategic strength.

This year’s nominees are:

Ida La Spisa, Telia
Ida la Spisa is nominated for this year’s “Role Model” award for her curiosity and decisive action, which have enabled the collaboration with Unicus/auticon and elevated neurodiversity within Telia. Her leadership has created real change and demonstrated how differences, when seen as strategic strengths, can drive business value and inspire other organizations.

Anna-Karin Näslund, Scania
Anna-Karin is nominated for Role Model in recognition of her outstanding commitment and genuine support for both auticon and our consultants. As a team manager, she demonstrates not only strong leadership, but also true care—leading with respect, clarity, and warmth. As one of our consultants puts it: “She is both kind and clear.” To us, she is an invaluable partner and a true ambassador who exemplifies what inclusive and sustainable collaboration looks like in practice.

Mattias Mörstam, E.ON
Mattias Mörstam is nominated for Role Model of the Year for his attentive and inclusive leadership. He has hired several consultants from auticon and makes a real difference by highlighting individuals’ strengths, sharing his experiences of neuroinclusion with colleagues, and emphasizing the positive effects within the organization. Mattias was also among the first leaders at E.ON to become certified as a NeuroConfident manager, demonstrating how modern leadership can combine learning, business value, and a sustainable, inclusive work environment.

Shahab Garmakey, Vattenfall
Shahab is nominated for Role Model in recognition of his outstanding dedication and genuine support for both auticon and our consultants. By having several of our consultants in his teams, he has created a significant and lasting impact. As a manager, he leads with an open mind, respect, and clarity, fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can contribute their strengths, grow, and thrive. Shahab is, without a doubt, a true role model whose leadership inspires and elevates those around him.
