IT support

Technicians for support, server, network and system administration
- everyone has autism and are ready to contribute to more stable operations and happier users.

Operations and IT support

Stable IT operations is crucial in a world with more and more businesses going digital. Stability requires individuals who enjoy clear work processes and a degree of repetition, while also possessing technical competence with both breadth and width. Such combinations are very common among our autistic consultants.

The list of requirements for employees in this field often feature technical competence with both breadth and width, care, perseverance, and the ability for structural work. All these characteristics are prominent in our autistic employees.

Support engineer

The role of a support engineer is critical for users in need of help. Such support is multi-faceted. The solutions given could be simple and may be be derived from user behaviors, but could also depend on complex situations in the underlying environment.

A case-based approach suits the autistic brain perfectly. It provides a natural structure and establishes clear beginnings and ends. All user communication has a clear purpose, and autistics are persistent and often possess pedagogical abilities often appreciated by stressed end users.

Server and network technicians

A server technician installs, maintains, and troubleshoots server systems, while a network technician is responsible for the technical infrastructure of web solutions, servers, and computers of a network. Both tasks include installation, operations, and maintenance.

Both roles is a perfect fit for an autistic person. Technical competence with both breadth and width, complexity combined with structured interventions, and all with high quality.

System administrator

A system administrator takes responsibility for administration and operation of one or more systems. This often includes installation, configuration, as well as performance and availability. User account management and access control to various system components are also core tasks. Troubleshooting, solutions, as well as feedback on reported faults are often included in the role. Perhaps also being second line support for the system, and aiding the first line support engineer.

Competencies such as Office 365, Sharepoint, Azure, AWS, SAP, etc.

“The feedback I keep getting is that Sara makes an important contribution to the team, that she works very fast and that anyone else would have needed more time to perform a particular task. I think other teams also can benefit from the chance to collaborate with Unicus and experience as great a match as we have.”
