Success Stories

Improve an anonymization process

Problem: Our client has to anonymize the data of their clients in order to elaborate consumption open files. The anonymization process should not allow to retrieve/regenerate any information on sensitive initial data.

Solution: The auticon analyst came up with the idea of using a genetic-based test algorithm to detect any bias in the anonymization process.

Success: The process has been amended to eliminate the detected bias.

Federate a paneuropean data protection scheme

Problem: Our client has to harmonize, rationalize and simplify the set of rules governing the data leak protection tool for all the subsidiaries of a big European bank. The rules are different for all entities due to discrepancy between IT history of the subsidiaries. The rules have to be compliant with the different banking legislations

Solution: The auticon analyst learned how to use the tool, analysed the situation with a methodical approach, and found the best common set of general rules and the minimum number of particular rule sets.

Data blending and analytics for big pharma

Problem: A large pharma company approached auticon to assist with the development and curation of a new data platform, to provide efficiencies and insight within the organisation.

Solution: Our analysts developed automated data curation and QA services, incorporating newly designed database tables and data sets that delivered the performance enhancements required for a new big data platform. A mixture of technologies was used: SQL, Spark, Java, and Python – all running on Oracle and Hadoop platforms.

Success: Given the success of the initial phase and the new analytical outputs that were delivered, the client is now taking the solution into wider production and is expanding the scope and scale of the data being ingested by the platform.

Validation of public sector analytical modelling

Problem: A public sector entity approached auticon to assist with the validation of economic models that are being used to provide guidance for both domestic and foreign businesses. The project has realised benefitted significantly arising from the cognitive strengths of auticon’s autistic analysts. Their advantages in pattern recognition, logical processing, and attentiveness to detail were all put to good use.

Solution: The auticon analyst provided mathematical, data and processing validation services to the project, which covered algorithm review, the validation of model assumptions, and confirmation of conversion rates being used as model inputs. To complete the process, model outputs were verified, ultimately ensuring the validity of a model that is finding use by an international audience.

Success: The public sector client is delivering the model on time and to specification and is now extending it with auticon’s assistance.
