The holidays are just around the corner and the year is drawing to a close. We would therefore like to look back on an eventful but successful 2021 with you. Below is an overview of our highlights from the past year:
Customers and orders
First of all, we are very grateful to our customers for whom we were able to do so many beautiful and challenging assignments (again)! From test automation to manual testing in scrum teams and from RPA to annotation work. Both the customers and the assignments were very varied last year and we are proud of the quality we were able to deliver.
From DOEN to Unicus
Together with our new Norwegian shareholder Unicus, we have taken the next step in our growth strategy. By joining forces, both companies are strengthening the product range and thus the social impact.
Now that Unicus is taking an interest in Specialisterren, DOEN Participaties has transferred its shares. DOEN has been involved since Specialisterren was founded in 2010. We would like to thank DOEN Participaties B.V. once again for their trust and the opportunities they have given us. More information can be found in this article.
From Specialisterren Foundation to the Social Impact Board
Specialisterren is a social enterprise and puts making a social impact at the heart of all its decisions. That is why we have a social board that oversees this. This ensures that all our choices remain social. You used to know this board as the ‘Specialisterren Foundation’, but since this year they have a new name and are now called the ‘Specialisterren Social Impact Board’! You can find out more about the Social Impact Board at www.specialisterrensocialimpactboard.nl.
A new house style and website
Last September, we launched a new corporate identity and website! This allows us to tell our story even better
We are ISO 27001 certified
With this certificate, we demonstrate that we handle information with care and we secure it properly. We hope that with this certification we can serve our customers even better.
Webinar ‘Autism in the Workplace
In November, our team coach Marloes gave a webinar on how we support our employees with autism. In this webinar, practical examples and hands-on tips were shared. You can watch it again via this link.
We have made our Theory of Change visual.

A staff outing at last
After one and a half years without a staff outing, we enjoyed a cruise on the Vecht with a large number of colleagues last September. It was very nice to have spoken to each other in real life again and to have dinner together!
Many thanks to all customers, colleagues, ambassadors, partners and followers who have contributed to our mission this year! Thanks to you, we were able to continue to grow and hire more people with autism in 2021. With great new plans ahead, including Business Intelligence as a new service, we are looking forward to 2022. Hopefully we can make even more of an impact then!
We wish everyone a happy holiday season and a warm end of the year.
