Measure your neurodiversity inclusion

Neurodiversity Inclusion Maturity Assessment

We encourage our partners to start their neuroinclusion journey by understanding where they currently are – what’s going well, what can be improved through a neurodiversity lens, and where the gaps are. Using data and listening to your colleagues, auticon’s Neurodiversity Inclusion Maturity Assessment can help define your best starting point and goals for maximum impact.

Starting your neuroinclusion journey

Measure how neuroinclusive your organisation is, with our Neuroinclusion Maturity Assessment using auticon's trademarked tool, ñima®

We conduct a neuroinclusion maturity assessment of your organisation using our proprietary cloud-based tool, ñima. This allows us to better understand your people, culture, and challenges before taking a data-driven approach to improving neuroinclusion.

We can assess the entire employee lifecycle, covering the areas that impact neurodivergent employees, their managers, and teams. This allows us to create a baseline and know what to recommend, where to start, and how to make significant and impactful changes in your organisation. Alternatively, you may assess one team or area of the employee lifecycle, such as recruitment.

We rely on a data-driven approach to enable you to track, measure, and report on successes. By the end of the assessment, you will know what you do well and where the gaps are. We help you to create a neuroinclusion pathway that complements your existing inclusion strategies and avoids silos of neuroinclusion.

The step-by-step process

The assessment is a simple and traditional maturity assessment process consisting of live interviews, two anonymous
surveys, and a materials review.

Our goal is to collect materials that give us an indication of how you currently support neurodivergent team members. Materials are assessed in combination with interviews to determine:

Do the materials exist?
Are they written neuroinclusively?
Are they known about?
Are they accessible?
Are they used?

How are they collated?
The client uploads the materials to their ñima dashboard.

We play back the findings in a professional data-driven report delivered in PDF format.

Concrete recommendations are not provided at this stage, unless explicitly agreed upon at contracting stage.

We conduct a one-day interactive workshop to discuss the key findings and what they mean for areas of the business and colleagues. The second half of the workshop is co-collaboration in designing your pathway to improved neuroinclusion.

We collaborate with your key stakeholder group on your pathway to improved neuroinclusion. We discuss how we can complement your existing strategy rather than create more work for your stakeholders and avoid silos of neuroinclusion.

During the workshop, we lead a series of activities to better understand your business goals, priorities, and recommendations for neuroinclusion that works for you.

We combine this knowledge with the maturity assessment data to determine a recommended pathway. These findings are discussed and reviewed with you before sign-off.

After the pathway plan is approved, your dedicated Neuroinclusion team (Consisting of advisors, trainers, and coaches) is ready to go! We work with you for the remaining schedule to achieve the defined goals.

Our proprietary cloud-based tool

What is ñima?

ñima is auticon’s proprietary cloud-based tool (developed by neurodivergent developers at auticon Labs) used to assess a company’s level of neuroinclusive maturity.

ñima allows us to send anonymous surveys, collect materials and conduct live interviews.

It also enables us to analyse the data and add visualisation to our findings reporting.

Bank of Ireland has partnered with the globally recognised organisation auticon, a specialist technology consulting business and social enterprise, that helps companies become a destination for neurodivergent talent. Working with auticon and using its neuroinclusion maturity assessment, Bank of Ireland conducted an in-depth assessment of its policies, practices and employee experience. The findings from this wide-ranging assessment helped to inform the actions the Bank is taking to become a more neuroinclusive workplace.

“As one of the largest employers in the country we have a responsibility to get this right. We want to create an inclusive workplace where all people applying for a role or coming to work for us feel welcome, supported, and valued. We are taking some practical steps and making improvements to our colleagues’ and managers’ understanding, the physical and operational infrastructure and our culture to make our organisation one of the most neuroinclusive in the country.”
