About

Autogrill, now part of the Avolta Group, is the world’s leading provider of food and beverage services for travellers, operating in 75 countries with over 5,500 locations.

The Challenge

The IT team needed to ensure that frequent updates to POS software and customer-facing applications didn’t disrupt operations, given the mission-critical nature of these systems for compliance, payments, and customer experience.

The Solution

Since 2019, an auticon technologist has executed comprehensive technical and usability regression tests across POS systems and digital customer interfaces such as MyAutogrill, Click & Collect, kiosks, and other apps.

The Benefits

Reduced defects in software releases

  • Faster, more reliable QA cycles
  • Deep alignment with evolving compliance and business needs

The Highlights

Over 4 years of collaboration

  • Sustained quality in POS and customer-facing systems
  • Inclusion efforts strengthened Autogrill’s team culture

Social Impact

The collaboration exemplified how neurodivergent professionals add business value through precision and sustained attention, while enriching team culture through inclusion.

Already after a few hours we understood we were dealing with a different, yet complementary, way of working… Today, the auticon consultant is an integral part of the team and the quality of the testing has exceeded expectations.
