Dimensions Agriculture Technologies is a Norwegian agritech company developing precision spraying technology for cereals using machine vision to distinguish weeds from cereal crops during the growing season.

The Challenge

The company needed large volumes of accurately annotated images to differentiate between grass and dicot weeds in order to train new machine learning models. They needed this data quickly to meet their yearly development goals.

The Solution

unicus provided a team of autistic technologists who annotated images to teach the machine learning algorithm how to distinguish between background, weeds, crops and cereals. Their work enabled the client to train several versions of the model for different image conditions.
