About

Statens Kartverk (the Norwegian Mapping Authority) is responsible for managing geographic and property data, including the land register and cooperative housing register.

The Challenge

Ensuring the accuracy of APIs that deliver critical data from the national land and housing registers, which are accessed by over 600 entities across Norway.

The Solution

Unicus technologists tested over 3,500 entries from the registers, identified more errors than expected, and required fewer hours due to exceptional focus and pattern recognition—even with highly repetitive tasks.

The Benefits

More bugs detected than internal staff

  • Faster execution than estimated
  • High-quality assurance for national datasets

The Highlights

Delivered above expectations in quality and speed

  • Low oversight error in retesting
  • Full integration into the project team

Social Impact

Proved that autistic technologists’ concentration, precision, and dedication drive superior outcomes in large-scale public data validation projects.

They worked so quickly and with such precision that they required far fewer hours than expected. Soon, we didn’t even think about the Asperger diagnosis—it was just a great fit.
