About

DNB is Norway’s largest financial services group offering banking, insurance and asset management services.

The Challenge

There is a significant under‑employment of autistic individuals with relevant skills. “Seven of ten high‑functioning autists are without jobs matching their education and competence.”

The Solution

A data engineer, with an autism‑spectrum diagnosis was placed via Unicus at DNB; the team reported minimal adaptation was needed and strong performance followed.

The Benefits

  • The technologist is described as “very self‑driven” and fits very well within the team.
  • FinansFokus
  • Demonstrated that inclusion of neurodivergent talent can be seamless and high‑value.

The Highlights

  • Team leader notes they did “very little adjustment” when starting.
  • FinansFokus
  • The placement helped challenge stereotypes about neurodiversity in the workplace.

Social Impact

Enabled meaningful employment of a neurodivergent professional in a major financial institution; improved awareness of neuroinclusion in Norwegian banking.

We have got in driving very skilled people from Unicus and honestly we do not think much about that Kristoffer is autistic.
