Data integrity and reliability underpin any business’s ability to make critical business decisions. The larger the business, generally means more data and when volumes are high, looking for irregularities can be like trying to spot a needle in a haystack.
Jarrad Moore however is laser focused on data integrity and passionate about information processes and systems. Jarrad is on the autism spectrum and has been working with Macquarie Group helping them with analysing the quality of their project data and working with the team to put in place solutions to enhance their data integrity.
Working as an auticon consultant to Macquarie Group, Jarrad spoke about his experience, “I’ve really enjoyed working at Macquarie and looking for opportunities to enhance and improve data integrity and reliability. I’ve worked with a variety of data from testing documentation to statistics and KPI data. The projects that I’ve completed have not only helped Macquarie with the integrity of their data they have also helped me to hone my skills and progress as a technologist and data analyst.”
Jarrad has successfully completed a Bachelor of Information Technology at the University of Newcastle. Moreover, he also ranked first in his class’s cohort for the HSC course Information Processes and Technology in his final year of high school.
Throughout his university studies, he worked part-time for Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) as a Clerical Officer before being recruited to auticon. When he joined auticon, his skills and capabilities in IT were exceptional, however he struggled with his confidence in social situations.
Since working with the coaching staff at auticon, Jarrad’s confidence has grown and enabled him to become an embedded and valued team member at Macquarie Group.
“auticon have helped me with both hard and soft skills, in that they have given me additional technology training and helped with how I communicate with managers and team members at Macquarie.
“The additional coaching has enhanced my conversational skills. My neuro-inclusion specialist has also worked with my managers at Macquarie to help me become integrated and really feel included as part of the team.”
auticon Australia & New Zealand CEO Bodo Mann congratulated Jarrad on his success at Macquarie and the high-quality work that he has delivered.
“Jarrad is highly focused and possesses unique skills that enable him to perform exceptionally well when it comes to assessing the quality of organisational data. While his skills are unique, his focus, eye for detail and pattern recognition are qualities that can be common among autistic analysts. This presents a real opportunity for Australian businesses.”
“The work that Jarrad has done at Macquarie is excellent. He is driven and truly passionate about IT and it shows in what he delivers to our clients.”
