auticon Group CEO Luke Williams was excited about the release of the report and highlighted the progress the organisation has made.
“We are proving that neurodiversity works at work. Our 2024 Impact Report showcases not just the tangible progress we’ve made, but the real-life impact of neuroinclusive hiring on workplace culture and the contribution it makes to better business outcomes” said Luke Williams OBE, Group CEO.
There were some strong positive outcomes from auticon clients in this year’s report, with 87% of clients surveyed reporting a positive cultural shift in their teams.
auticon Australia and New Zealand CEO and Managing Director Mr Bodo Mann was encouraged by the positive response from business.
“Businesses across the global are beginning to realise they need to change if they want to grow. The growing STEM skills gap, the pace of technological change, increasing demand for services in AI and machine learning mean an increasing need for focused and skilled IT workers.”
“Organisations that develop the skills to work with autistic people experience positive cultural improvement creating a more productive workplace. Creating these skills offers more businesses the opportunity to access new employment markets and keep pace with the demand for technological advancement, those that don’t, get left behind, it’s that simple.”
auticon Consultant Meiko, was not surprised by the findings in the Impact Report and spoke about her experiences since joining auticon.
“I didn’t think I’d be an attractive prospect. Freshly graduated in Engineering, but with a checkered course transcript from a lack of support during my studies. I got passed up for all the graduate programs, only managing to secure some part time office admin work and thinking about how different things would be if I only had support.”
“auticon was the first company I applied for that seemed actively interested in what I could do, rather than what I could show off on my resume. I wasn’t used to being described as ‘quick’ or ‘organised’, but my clients have repeatedly extended contracts so I could work with them more. With the support of auticon, I’m now a Senior Consultant, helping new employees find their feet and clients fulfill needs,” concluded Meiko.
